We have had a warm fall and this has made for some great fall fishing! I have been fishing the Crow River and doing some shore fishing on a few of the lakes in the Annandale area. The water temperature was 45 degrees about 8 degrees warmer than last year around this time. The forecast in the next few days is going to cause the water temperature to drop fast with lows down to 20 degrees. I suspect we will be making ice in two weeks. The walleyes have been in the shallows 2-3 feet at night. Waders have been the ticket using floating raps out on the lake. In the river I have been using 1/16 ounce bright orange greenish jigs with a tiger colored ripple shad. Caught a few limits on the River in the holes 5-6 feet deep around the bends. Caught a few nice northerns also.

Sorry it’s been awhile since I have posted an update my wife and I had our third child and we had a boy! I now have two girls and a 3/week old. Tonight is his second night in the fish house! My wife lets me do overnights as long as I take Levi! Heck why not forced air furnace walleye fishing and give Levi a bottle check lines stare at vex for 30 minutes then nap time!! Then repeat!! I am trying to catch up on the fishing it’s been a little slower the last two weeks but we are still getting them. The bite is picking up! I am going to keep it short and just post some pics from the last three weeks!

The cold weather sure is making some Ice. Everywhere I have been I have been seeing 12-14 inches of Ice. We have been fishing several lakes. After the rain and warm temps over Christmas we lost few inches but now have it back. This made the crappie bite really light on some of my spots I believe they scattered when we had the warm temps. I am fishing more shallow lately 8 FOW shallowest. The deepest 18 FOW. I was in 24 FOW but only found smaller fish crappies. The crappie bite has picked up! The northern pike have been very active this season. The crappies have been biting mostly after dark. Here are a few pics from the last few days! Call today to reserve your rental. 320-310-9089
